PRESENTED BY ROCSOLE:
We are in times of energy transition and the need to accelerate our path to net zero. However, energy production from oil and gas will still be around for many years. A majority of hydrocarbon production comes from mature fields infrastructure, with a variety of complex process conditions having to handle byproducts such as emulsions, solids production, and deposits. But how can we make simulations, prediction tools, and digital twins efficient ways to improve performances that also give a carbon advantage?
To reach the Paris agreement, about 40% of carbon removal contribution has to come from operational improvements - here we talk about one of the core processing elements on facilities separation, which also has a major amount of bottleneck and shutdown issues. This core process has to be improved and with joint industry efforts, there is a massive improvement potential.
Learn more in the podcast, and a big thanks to both Michel and Tom for the highly engaging discussion.
