James and myself had a very interesting talk with Erik Nijveld1, the co-founder of technologycatalogue.com on technology implementation and how important it is to consider replication and portfolio level thinking. On their technology platform, they have some 900 technologies registered. This type of platform did not exist prior to technologycatalogue.com starting up.
With technology, we need to consider both Operational Technology (OT) and the Information Technology (IT). Doing this properly the digital transformation can unlock huge improvement potential and disrupt existing business solutions.
Operational efficiency and cost optimization will just increase in importance moving ahead. Sharing of best practices and removing silo mentality is key. Go for open innovation and industrywide collaborations!
